Canzo Empyrean… Need I Say More?

March 30, 2008 16 comments

So I’ve noticed that I’ve been getting a lot of hits on my blog from over the Canzo Empyrean trailer, a video that I found while looking for some footage from the upcoming live action G.I. Joe movie. I found the preview by accident but let me tell you, I want to see this movie so bad I’m practically foaming at the mouth!

Anyway, I thought I’d take some time and share with everyone else, some of the stuff I’ve found since stumbling across it, but first off for those of you who haven’t seen it yet, here’s the original trailer that started the whole thing:

Awesome! That’s all I can say… Awesome.

So here are some more video clips that I’ve been lucky enough to come across since I initially found the preview

Harry, a reader in Monrovia Liberia who heads up a local fan club for the movie, was nice enough to send me this link of Chancellor (the mastermind behind it all) promoting what I’m assuming to be the movie premier over there:

Here are a couple of the more innovative marketing adds that I’ve came across too:

Pastor Phil takes on Canzo Empyrean

This is the best one so far but for some reason he has disabled the Embed option on the video so you’ll have to click on the link, but trust me; it’s worth it!

“Big Up” Harry for all the info and links you provided!

Final thoughts? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: “I.HAVE.TO.SEE.THIS.MOVIE!

So Long & Farewell

3GP your days are numbered! You’ve been a great little proggy for a long time, but unfortunately I’ve strayed and tasted the fruit of another. Don’t’ get me wrong, I plan on keeping you around for a little while and stringing you a long, just in case things don’t work out as well as I hope with this new video converter, but to be honest I think we‘ve simply grown apart… and we both know it.

It’s not you, it’s me… oh who am I kidding? It’s you that I have a problem with. I’m tired of you constantly letting the audio and video fall out of sync with each other; I know it’s not on a consistent basis, but enough is enough. We’ve been together for a long time, since the first week or so after the Sony PSP came out, and I’ve kept you around long after I made my move to the iPod, but I think it’s time that we went out separate ways.

I’ve kept you around for a long time and been loyal when it came to video conversion, but I have to tell you… this new proggy, Jodix, is just more dependable than you. Although I’ve enjoyed your ease of use, simply being “easy” is not a good reason to keep someone around. So it is with great sadness that I remove you from my hard drive.

Not much to say here except that this is probably one of the best delivered speeches I’ve ever seen from a politician in a long time. One of the things that never ceases to amaze me, is how well he can speak to an audience, rather than speak at them… just watch.

I watched this speech with an older gentleman who, to put it politely, is a less than open-minded individual when it comes to certain things (including the idea of having a “black” President). About half way through this speech though, he turned to me and begrudgingly said “Damn it! I think I’m just gonna have to vote for this motherfucker.”

Now that says more to me than any Kennedy endorsement ever could; to take a individual as “set in his ways” as that, and make him swallow his pride enough to openly admit that he would vote for him… WOW!

I know that might not sound like much, but if you only knew this guy you‘d understand.

Good luck Mr. Obama, you have my support!

G.I. Joe Movie Preview “?”

December 12, 2007 8 comments

I didn’t really wanna do another “movie preview” post yet, or possibly ever, but I was on YouTube looking to see if anyone had leaked a movie preview for the new G.I. Joe Movie yet and found this. I should warn you, slightly disturbing would be a huge understatement. Yet I keep watching it.

I don’t think this is the actual trailer for the movie, but someone put in a hell of a lot of work into making this. And if this turns out to actually be real, it may make up for Hollywood taking the “America” out of “The Real American Heroes”, and be teh m0s7 awsum thing I’ve ever seen.

EDIT:
This is the clip that Harry linked to in his reply for those of you that didn’t want to take the time to click the link… awesome!

That was almost as disturbing as the preview… I.Have.To.See.This.Movie!

Thanks Harry 🙂

A friend pointed me to this the other day, I’m not big fan of G4 and what they’ve done to TechTV, but as a “Transformers Geek” I had to share it.

TV & Movie Interests

OK, like most Americans when I heard Sylvester Stallone was making a new Rocky movie; I groaned. To my surprise and to the rest of the world too, it was actually a pretty good movie. In my opinion, the best Rocky movie in the series.

So with the news of a new Rambo movie, I am genuinely intrigued. I did a little digging, found the trailer, and was pleasantly surprised. But one thing is for sure… “This ain’t your daddy’s Rambo!”

I think he killed more people in the preview than he did in the first three films combined. It looks a little gory, but it’s defiantly a “must see” movie for me… I don’t want to miss this on the big screen like I did with Rocky. There’s something to be said about seeing a movie in the theater as opposed to waiting for the DVD, no matter how big your TV or good your surround sound system. Anyways check it out!

John Rambo

OK, here’s some other “Must Sees” for me too, both at the Box Office and on TV:

AVP2

The Mist

And to hold me over while I wait…

Entourage

Ari at his best, lol

Real Time with Bill Maher

Best clip ever!

And what would a post full of YouTube links be without an episode of Red Dwarf… Obscure British Space Comedies FTW! For anyone who’s never seen Red Dwarf, here’s all of episode one broken up into three parts for your enjoyment. I love British sense of timing and humor.
