It was a long road getting to where I’m at in my life, but at a certain point I just couldn’t carry that hate around with me any more; it was adversly affecting too many aspects in my life. Trust me, at first it was reluctantly that I forgave him, but the ballance and inner peace that it’s given me was well worth it. I think the main thing is that you are able to live with yourself, and not let your feeling lash out against others.

Good luck to you, I know abandonment issues are tremendously hard to deal with. Feel free to stop by and ask for advise if you need.

Your letter was very touching i recently wrote a letter to my father and i could’nt bring myself to forgive him like you did , i think you are very strong person to be able to do that . maybe i might understand when i have my own kids in the future

this isnt surprising. we detained all of the japs during ww2 and some of our granparents still remember that.

of course, with the new enemy being anyone, OMG theyre not going to be racist this time.

i think partly the reason for the detainment camps is that the government and the people are both shitting themselves with paranoia. the pentagon is pissed off at the internet and trying to censor everything because matter of factly everything is corrupt. it always was. but now we have video and cell phones and websites to document it.

violence isnt going up, for example. the documentation of it is.

we see a cop taser someone and OMG ITS A TAZER?!?!? but really before this was documented cops were kicking the shit out of everybody.

same with everything else.

thats not to say were not all going to wind up in a can of soilent green, but its always good to look at the other person , or in this case alien overlord’s perspective.
